Snow is one of the most exciting and challenging projects in photography I´ve ever started.
Snow is on one color only, very limited in contrast. The conditions for shootings at an altitude of 2000 to 3500 m on the mountain are not comfortable at all.
The entire mountain, in a moment, can be covered in clouds, strong winds may cause snow swirls making the otherwise clear mountain to appear blurry. The camera battery doesn't last 2 hours, lens full of small snow drops. Standing, walking, freezing; waiting. Waiting for "the" light and shadow".
At the same time - I always feel it: the beauty of snow, the special power of the mountains.
The most moving thing to me is when my photos end up conveying some of that feeling.
